PROTEST THE HERO: Official 'Fortress' Tab Book Released
December 11, 2009Whitby, Ontario, Canada's PROTEST THE HERO has released the official tab book for the band's 2008 album "Fortress". "We transcribed it ourselves and put our heart and souls into making it as beautiful and user-friendly as possible (it's ring-binded so it lays flat and stays open when you're reading it)," the group says.
"In the spirit of friendly fellerness, we are giving away a signed poster and signature pick packs with the first 100 online books sold. We will also hand-number and sign those copies too.
"We worked hard on this and tried to keep the price down because we know how expensive these can be in stores!"

PROTEST THE HERO's sophomore album, "Fortress" came out on January 29, 2008. The band has previously stated that "Fortress" does not revolve around a single concept, like "Kezia", its 2006 debut, but is instead more closely akin to "goddess worship in the tradition of Robert Graves."
PROTEST THE HERO released a live CD/DVD titled "Gallop Meets The Earth" on August 11 via Underground Operations/Universal Music Canada and Vagrant Records in the U.S. The disc includes footage of the band's December 18, 2008 concert at the Sound Academy in Toronto and a number of bonus features.
